Screenshot 2025 08 19 at 12.59.21 PMThe project includes the relocation of Junior and Senior High students from the second and third floors of the 1924 building—spaces that currently pose major accessibility challenges. The new 8-classroom addition will offer barrier-free access and improved circulation throughout learning areas.

Enhancing Safety and Security:

Classroom renovationBy moving students out of outdated and inaccessible spaces with known safety risks—such as failing ceilings, inadequate ventilation, and aging infrastructure—the plan prioritizes the health and well-being of students and staff. Due to the large upfront cost to fully replacing the 1924 building, the committee decided that a phased approach would be in the best interest of the Murray community. This decision lowers the overall tax impact on the community and maintains the district’s commitment to fiscal responsibility. This bond proposal asks the community to partner with the district in phase one of this multi-phase masterplan which aims to move students out of classrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the 1924 building by constructing an addition on the west side of the facility. This proposal reflects a long-term commitment to responsible stewardship, modern educational experiences, and the tradition, pride, and resilience that define the Murray community.
